Rudi Coppola is a Master's student under the supervision of Professor Mohamed-Slim Alouini at Communication Theory Lab (CTL) at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). Education and Early Career Rudi completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Pisa in 2019. He has also collaborated with 'e-team', the university’s racing team, under the electronic division. In the same year, he was admitted to KAUST as a Master's student. His work aims to incorporate smart sensing solutions leveraging machine learning-aided Distributed Fiber Optic Sensing (DFOS) into the next generation of fiber-based telecommunication networks, as well as their integration into the realm of the Internet of Things (IoT).
