Prospective Students
Join the Ranks of Leading Engineers
The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) program at KAUST is a dynamic and comprehensive training ground for future ECE leaders. We empower students to excel in diverse professional paths and contribute to cutting-edge research that shapes our world.
Our program spans various technical domains, including solid-state electronics, microsystems, electromagnetics, photonics, communication, networking, signal processing, computer vision and control.
Our research pushes the boundaries of these fields, focusing on the development of faster, more reliable communication networks, efficient and powerful complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) integrated circuits, innovative electronic and photonic devices for various applications, tiny MEMS systems with vast potential, precise sensors and detection devices, and functional and nanomaterials with unique properties.
We foster a vibrant learning and research environment, combining collaborative inquiry with state-of-the-art facilities. Our students have access to experimental labs for hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology, a nanofabrication and characterization lab for creating and analyzing nanoscale structures, and supercomputing and visualization facilities for robust data analysis and visualization. Together, these elements create a stimulating environment enabling our students and researchers to thrive.
