Using Massive MIMO Arrays to Reject Radar-Generated Interference and to Perform Integrated Sensing and Communications

This webinar will explore the potentiality of massive MIMO arrays in a scenario where radar and communication tasks coexist. The first part of the talk will be devoted to the discussion of a scenario where a wireless network is to co-exist with an external radar system sharing the same frequency band. The second part of the talk will be instead focused on a scenario where a base station equipped with a large scale antenna array simultaneously perform the task of radar surveillance of the surrounding environment and of data communication with mobile users.

Education and Early Career Shuaishuai Guo received the B.E and Ph.D. degrees in communication and information systems from the School of Information Science and Engineering, Shandong University, Jinan, China, in 2011 and 2017, respectively. Richa Priyadarshani is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Electrical and Computer Engineering department, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), working with Professor Slim Alouini in the Communication Theory Lab (CTL). Education and Early Career Richa Priyadarshani received the Master of Engineering (M.E.) degree in wireless communications engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, India, in 2013 and the Ph.D. degree in optical wireless communication from the department of electrical engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, India in 2021

Hasan Hasan

Hasan Hasan is a Ph.D. student under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed-Slim Alouini at the Communication Theory Lab (CTL) in King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). Education and Early Career Hasan received his B.Eng. degree in Electronic Engineering from Universitas Brawijaya (UB), Indonesia, in 2018 and his M.Sc. degree in Telecommunication Engineering from National Sun Yat-Sen University (NSYSU), Taiwan, in 2020. After that, he worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Communications Engineering, NSYSU, Taiwan. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical and
